What is it?
- An open XML dtd for the management of educational information
- (student names, classes, marks, etc)
How is it useful?
- facilitates information exchange between compatible programs
- better record keeping, progress and assessment

- SIF (closed, expensive)
- EDUML aims to be an OSS equivalent / implementation / translation mechanism
