Installing xhelp v0.3 software
Introduction
The current release of xhelp has a somewhat automated instalation. It is
required that certain software packages be installed before the software
will work correctly. Links to these software packages are below and will
be maintained.
Software Needed by xhelp.
- Download and install tcl/tk v8.0 or higher.
- Download and install tix
- Download and install Swish-Enhanced
Documentation needed by xhelp.
Documentation instalation of manual pages and howtos are discussed in
separate documents. The xhelp program does not need any particular
help files, so support for these is separate. Once SEUL has determined
the document format(s) of choice, a documentation specific distribution
for the help system will be provided.
xhelp instalation
Currently there are no supported binaries. As soon as a directory
structure for programs is determined binaries will be available in
a tar-ball, and sometime (hopefully soon) will be available in DEB
and RPM formats.

To load a specific document type xhelp filename
