Editing a Text File

1. Start the file manager
2. Locate the file you want to edit in a file window
3. Move the mouse pointer over the file you wish to edit
4. Click and release the right mouse button and a popup menu appears
5. Move the mouse pointer over the menu item with the same name as the file
6. Click and release the left mouse button and a sub-menu appears
7. Move the mouse pointer over the "Open with" menu item
8. Click and release the mouse pointer and a new window appears with an edit box inside
9. Move the mouse in front of the file name in the edit box
10. Click and release the left mouse button
11. Type "gedit " (without the quotation marks) in front of the file name in the edit box
12. Press the OK button in the window and the text editor will open
