Some months ago Twitter users reported the service asking them to
provide a cell phone number when logging in to web interface from Tor. [1=
]

Now, Twitter won't allow me to post, retweet, favourite, or send a DM
via web interface if used from Tor (even though I submit a phone number
and log in successfully):

=E2=80=9CYour account may not be allowed to perform this action. Please r=
efresh
the page and try again.=E2=80=9D

which could at least pretend to be the most polite fuck you in internet
history but which probably is merely an unintentional side-effect of
carelessly designed anti-spam policy.

I still can use Twitter from clearnet web interface, or from a torrified
mobile client (AndStatus).

So it goes.
