Tor is just an encrypted browsing system so there's nothing to do to get in except download and use it.

To be more protected you might have a look at Surveillance Self-defence https://ssd.eff.org/
at the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
There are a number of things there to make using Tor, and your computer, more private.
