IP anonymity is only one view of Tor - this oversimplifies all of the
other properties of using the Tor network. Please consider reading
about the traffic analysis resistance properties of Tor before
describing Tor as a simple proxy system:

https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en

This may also be helpful:

  https://www.eff.org/pages/tor-and-https

Please note the surveillance resistance properties of the Tor network
differ depending on the view of an adversary.

All the best,
Jacob
