SEUL Development Site
Each of the seul-dev groups has its own section
of the website. These can be reached by the navigation bar on the left. However,
most of the SEUL activity lately has focused on non-technical issues such as
documentation and advocacy. The development groups' work so far is summarized here for
convenience.
- dev-distrib has the Core/Layers specification along with
a draft.
- dev-help is working on Taskhelps:
documents that are short and to the point, written in simple language, and written
in a stepwise fashion so that they may be easily performed.
- dev-help also has a demo of the xhelp engine, a Tcl/tk application to
integrate the various documentations available for users, and provide a
uniform mechanism for viewing all types of help files. This has since been supplanted by
gnome's help engine.
- dev-install has a basic installer specification which could use some more
work, as well as a short list of installer tasks.
